The AT&T LG Opera TV (Vu 2), is coming soon! The AT&T LG Opera TV, aka Vu 2, as the name suggests will be a MediaFLO powerhouse. Of course, the main attraction being a decent variety of TV channels. To support all the video and touchscreen technology, you’ll get a very nice 3″ WVGA display. Other features on board are: a 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, microSD slot, GPS, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA, EDGE (class 10) & of course all the MediaFLO capabilities.
The AT&T LG Opera TV is definitely a feature-rich handset. If the documents are correct, this phone should be released in August. However, we wouldn’t hold our breath for that. All in all though, it is a very worthy successor to the Vu 2 and will be extremely popular.
An LG Xenon review by Cnet states: “The LG Xenon has an attractive touch-screen display, a great QWERTY keyboard, customizable standby screens, plenty of shortcuts, and lots of features like 3G speeds, quad-band support, a 2-megapixel camera, GPS, and more.”
Of course, the Xenon does have some negatives, so here is what they say about that: “The LG Xenon suffers from the lack of POP or IMAP e-mail support, the touch screen suffers from a slight learning curve, the Web browser feels a little clunky, and you’re limited to only six widgets to customize the home screen.”
Overall, they seemed to really like the phone. The LG Xenon, for AT&T, is one of the better messaging phones available. Plus, it has some great features and a very neat touch-screen interface.
The Nokia Mako is almost here. The Nokia Mako is a brand new side-slider handset with full QWERTY keyboard coming to AT&T. Its 2.4″ QVGA display is decent, but may be a little small for some people. It features Symbian S60 3.2 OS along with a host of other features.
Other features on the Nokia Mako include: 128 MB internal memory, 2 megapixel camera, video share calling, 1-touch GPS access, XHTML browser, multi-tasking key, Bluetooth 2.0, USB 2.0, hands-free speaker, media player, automatic landscape / portrait orientation, Oz email / IM & of course the full QWERTY keyboard. The Nokia Mako also has a bit of a futuristic design. It will work great as a texting handset.

Best Buy might have accidentally revealed some information on an upcoming T-Mobile phone via its Samsung replacement battery accessory page. The page shows a Samsung T929 Leica, which supposedly has an 8 megapixel Leica camera sensor, which explains the “Leica” in its name. Other features of the phone include 3G, WQVGA screen, virtual QWERTY keyboard, TouchWiz user interface, microSDHC card expansion, Bluetooth, A-GPS. It sure looks like an interesting phone, so stay tuned to find out more details regarding this phone as information surfaces!
The first LG enV Touch video has surfaced. The LG enV Touch is the successor to the popular Voyager. Like it’s name suggests, it’s main feature is the very responsive full touchscreen on the front. The handset officially releases on June 5th for $149.99 after a $70 rebate & 2 year agreement.
Features on the LG enV Touch include: a microSDHC slot, EVDO Rev. A, HTML web browser, document reader, 3.2 megapixel camera with flash (including a Schneider Kreuznach lens), stereo speakers, Bluetooth, VCast support, 3.5mm headset jack, a highly functional 3″ WVGA touchscreen, a 3″ WVGA internal screen, and a QWERTY keyboard for use when you get tired of the touchscreen. As you can see, the LG enV Touch is quite a loaded handset.
The HTC Touch Pro2 is almost here. The HTC Touch Pro2 is the successor to the very popular Touch Pro. It’s expected to arrive at Sprint & T-Mobile very soon. For the most part, features remain very similar to the original. However, one important upgrade is to the display, which is now WVGA. The 3.6 inch display is large and vibrant. HTC did a spectacular job with the physical look of this handset. It’s almost, dare I say, iPhone-esque (not in every aspect, of course).
Features on the HTC Touch Pro2 include: GPS, WiFi, 528 MHz processor, 3.2 megapixel camera with zoom, Windows Mobile 6.1 Pro, 256 MB RAM / 512 MB ROM, touchscreen, full QWERTY keyboard, 3G, Stereo Bluetooth 2.1, microSD and Opera browser. Overall, it’s a very decent feature line-up, which you should expect to pay a premium for (but probably worth every penny).
