The Alaska DigiTel unlimited calling, texting and picture messaging plans seem to outdo anything USA mainland carriers are currently offering. This is pretty impressive seeing as Alaska DigiTel is pretty much a mom-and-pop cell phone company. Well, I guess you should expect that when Alaska’s population is not very high. Last week T-Mobile, Sprint & Verizon announced unlimited calling plans (T-Mobile inlcluded texting) for under $100.

The T-Mobile Nokia 3555 should be headed to the carrier by March 17th. The new T-Mobile Nokia 3555 is very low end, but then again – it does carry 3G UMTS. The handset is a bit strange looking when opened, and looks a little plasticky. But, what else can you expect from a low end phone? On the other hand, the T-Mobile Nokia 3555 does have some decent features for being a low end model: quad-band GSM, myFaves support, speakerphone, VGA cam, dual-band WCDMA, stereo Bluetooth and a microSD slot.
